I am not sure if I overpaid for the repair, I failed to shop around. However, I called for a tune-up ($69.95) and ended installing a whole new system costing me $3K. The technician, Elias Bernard did a very good job in a timely manner. He took care about cleaning, explaining the functioning and making sure I was satisfied. Elias is a very kind and friendly person. I recommend Elias no doubtful.

Incredible service! The door broke and was completely jammed. They came over to the house in a few hours and fixed everything. It actually works better than it did originally! The technician Mitchell Conner is the ultimate professional. This door is 16 by 10, larger and heavier than most. He proceeded to quickly fix it like it was routine. He explained everything and made some adjustments to help prevent any future issues. So impressed with the total experience.

It was easy to make an appointment, and the tech showed up as scheduled. I was NOT happy how they bundled the cost of parts and service so you can't see what you spent on parts and installation. Even when I called for a breakdown, they would not explain this. This is a marketing technique to obfuscate pricing. The consumer gets fatigue trying to compare actual costs, and because other businesses do it too, you give in (which they calculate you will do). I am happy with the new door opener, but if you want to know what you paid for, you may need to find a business that has more transparency. Service was good, but due to pricing opacity, I can only give them two stars. Do your homework, since it's not a purchase you make very often.

So disappointing! When the belt broke on my 2004 Chamberlain/LiftMaster garage door opener I called Precision Garage Door Company after seeing their ads on TV. I was pleased that they were able to get a technician out the same day, and after explaining what had happened to my garage door, I was assured that the technician would have all the parts needed for the repair on his truck. The technician arrived and immediately began telling me that he was going to get me a quote on a new opener (motor/drive unit and track). I told him that the motor had been operating just fine and I merely wanted him to replace the belt. That’s where things got fishy and “scammish.” The technician told me that the company is not allowed to repair our opener because of a law passed in 2019. He proceeded to tell me that since our opener did not have a battery backup that they are forbidden by law to do repairs and can only replace the entire unit. I let him know that when I called in to make an appointment, that I clearly stated that my belt had broken and was assured that whoever arrived would be able to repair or replace the belt. He said he'd call his supervisor and see what he could do. A few minutes later, he came back, re-stated the 2019 law forbidding him from repairing our opener and that they didn’t even carry those belts on their trucks. While he was on the phone, I looked up the law he was quoting. In fact there was a law passed in 2019 (SB969). This law clearly states that “All new or replacement garage door openers installed after July 1, 2019 must include a battery backup.” There is no requirement stating that one must have a remote control in place to replace a belt, install a belt, or repair an opener. I read this to the technician and he re-stated that they didn’t even carry those belts on their trucks and stated that he would not be able to help and left. I ordered a belt from Amazon for $52 and replaced it in minutes. It’s obvious to me that Precision’s business model includes hoping to scare homeowners and upsell them into buying unneeded garage door openers! I’m thinking their jingle, “Precision Door Service a name you can trust” should be revised! Shame on you Precision!

I had a music performance- the garage door spring & cables gave way as I was leaving. Mind you this was my birthday weekend too. Ugh garage door repairs - I called Precision. I had to leave, 45 minute drive. My wife stayed behind. Manny from Precision showed up minutes after I left. We talked over the phone what the repairs would be. Long story short he did a great job, as I was about to perform my wife walks up to me. She was able to come to the performance because Manny did such a great job in good time. I left the house with a mangled garage door and came back to a smooth humming garage door like brand new! And the beat goes on……

Brandon Taylor serviced our garage door today, 5/29/25. It was very noisy due to our lack of lubricating the door. Brandon was friendly, professional and explained 3 options that we could do to correct our issue. He was thorough and was very pleasant to work with and we will definitely request him again, but hopefully we are good to go! Brandon showed up the parts he was replacing and then taught me how to lubricate the door every 6 months. I could tell that Brandon does not consider this a job, but a calling.

This is the second time we have used Precision Door. This time we needed the opener reinforced bracket kit. Our door and opener are over 26 years old, so I was not sure about replacement parts. The work was done quickly, but it was a very big market in cost and service. The exact same part at Home Depot was $31.98. The service time was approximately 20 mins start to finish, and the total cost was 7 times as much. They have great service, but you are also paying a premium price for that service.

The screws of the hinge securing the garage door to the upper railing had come off, not allowing proper functioning of the door. I had dealt with a previous company on 2 other occasions who must have missed that there was only 1 screw where there should have been 4 screws. Andrey Brodskiy was very prompt in coming and replacing the screws. My only complaint was $120 for adding 3 screws and was expecting it to cost around $70 which would have been steep but reasonable. He was professional and offered a prompt service.

Such a wonderful experience working with Precision. Everything was so professional from the first "emergency" call to the after-hours operator to updates from the technician, Antonio, about his estimated time of arrival, the cost estimate, and of course, the quality work! Everything was professional, well-explained, and well done. I couldn't believe how quickly he was able to come fix the door, which was completely non-functional, and how fast he diagnosed and 100% solved the problem.
