The whole experience with Precision Garage Door was excellent. I called Precision this morning because they were recommended by a friend. When I called, the phone was answered promptly and, in a few minutes, the person who took my call was able to schedule someone to my home at a time block of my choosing. Also, she was very clear about the initial cost so there would be no surprises. The Technician, Nathaniel Lapidez, arrived on time, inspected and tested the door and clearly explained what the problem was and what I need to have done in order to end up with a working garage door. Nathaniel did the installation, programmed all the remotes and answered all my questions.

Travis carefully gave me every scenario of what my garage door needed and I let him do what was needed and I didn’t have a problem with the cost because he said it will last a long time now, even though it’s guaranteed for a year. He said it’ll probably go 20 years. I just needed to pick a good company because couldn’t have fixed this door anyway, and the reviews were very good plus I did recognize one employee I knew when he was a younger man. And if Travis has trained several employees then that makes a great company. Thank you again Travis and precision garage door you have a great employee. Now I have the required two springs instead of one. And new cables bottom wheels, and some new bearings. hooray the door works so good now.

Brandon Taylor did not charge us for a service call because of his recognition that we were insufficient with due diligence prior to allowing work to proceed by individuals who subjected us to exorbitant fees for their equipment and work. Brandon was explicit in assuring us that our new opener system is functioning properly but recommended that we report the installers’ unacceptably high fees to the Better Business Bureau and the California State Licensing Board. Even if we have no other recourse for the financial impact that we sustained, others need to be reminded that unethical installers are practicing their craft and need to be avoided.

Our garage door was very unbalanced. One of them seemed to strain as we would open or close it. The other one would stop closing over and over again. Very frustrating. Ahmed did a very nice job in correcting the problems and stuck with it when he might have been able to cut corners. I was very satisfied with his knowledge and commitment to get it done right.

Technician was on time and reviewed the garage door system and gave us options on the services he could provide to fix the problems he discovered. He showed us each problem he discovered and explained what problem he discovered and if we wanted to let the problem go until later or fix it now. He explained what he was doing every step of the repair process. He was able to program the car remote to the garage door. Technician was polite, through and was able to complete the repair in minimum time. Very good experience and would recommend precision service for garage door repairs.

Travis did a great job diagnosing our garage door opener problems and installing a new one. He kept us informed and actually showed us the problem before incurring additional expense. He called me prior to the appointment, arrived when he said he would, and gave me expertise recommendations on products and equipments needed to help my garage door open smoothly and quietly. I had a torsion spring break on a Saturday night after 6. I was able to book an appointment for the next day. We were very pleased with the service from Precision Garage Door. The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and professional, our technician, Nicholas Schwinger, arrived promptly, was very friendly and pleasant, and did a good and careful job figuring out our problem. It appeared our garage door motor was dead, so we arranged to purchase a new one for $1,500, and Nick set about installing it. But partway through the job, he realized the motor actually still worked, and the problem was actually with the switch. So he put away all the new motor paraphernalia and instead fixed our switch for $124! It would have been easy for Nick to simply continue installing the new motor, and we are grateful for (and impressed by) his integrity in letting us know our problem was much smaller and cheaper to fix. We definitely will call him back when the motor actually DOES fail!

I was expecting only that someone would fix the part that was keeping me from lowering the door. I had no idea that he would come equipped to do a full overhaul on a Saturday evening.
